Mambazha Pulissery is an authentic sweet n sour Kerala dish make out of ripe mango, yogurt, and coconut. This mouth watering dish is one of my favourite. Apart from being healthy, this is also a very delicious dish. I hope you all will enjoy eating this.
Ripe Mangoes – 5-6 small size
Grated coconut – 1 cup
Yogurt – 2 tblspn
Jeera – 1/2 tsp
Green chilly – 2/3
Turmeric powder – 1/4-1/2 tsp
Small onion – 4
Red chilly – 2
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt as per taste
Oil for seasoning
Method of preparation:-
Peel the mangoes and cook with turmeric, 2 green chillies, salt, and 11/2 cups of water for 10-15 minutes. Grind coconut, jeera, yogurt and 1 green chilly with half cup water and keep it aside. Now, make sure that the boiling mangoes have enough salt and continue cooking for another 8 minutes on a low flame. Add the grinded mixture into it and stir for 2 mins and remove from fire. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and add sliced small onions, red chilly, & curry leaves. Fry until it becomes golden brown and add it to the curry. Best when served with rice.
